Celebrities give back like no politician or CEO ever does.
I don't know whom to believe on this one. Most sources say that Bono is the most generous of celebrities when it comes to donating his time and money to charitable endeavors.
I find the money part a little hard to believe due to the fact that the mega-rich Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg are known to have contributed many millions to charity.
Perhaps the accounting method employed takes into consideration time spent promoting various worthy causes, and time, it seems, is what Bono probably has more of to devote to these activities.
Nonetheless, despite the bad rap given to high profile celebrities, it's certain that as a group the stars contribute far more in terms of money and time, than all the fabulously wealthy, blowhard politicians, and grossly overpaid corporate CEOs combined.

I don’t buy that! I agree with Oprah and Steven Spielberg! They both donate millions to charities that really need it. And watch Oprah, on her show, she gives away thousdands in gifts to the audiance! You can tell that she is really loving and caring! She really does make a difference!
