In an effort to get closer to the people he has started having celebrities as guests on his weekly radio show, "Fox Contigo," or "Fox With You".

The show is designed to showcase Mexicans who have distinguished themselves in ways that reflect favorably on Mexico.

So far he has invited soccer stars and racecar drivers to replace the usual array of government bureaucrats who often discussed scintillating topics such as the installation of a sewage treatment facility, or the construction of a maximum-security prison.

My advice to President Fox is to ditch the radio show in favor of a TV show, and get Mexican born Salma Hayek as his co-host.

In fact, he should appoint her the Minister Of Beauty, Fun and Good Times.

That will bring the public in on his side. Women will want to emulate her, and men will want to, well, you know.
