WENDY WILLIAMS, SUPER DISHER

Now here's a dish who knows how to dish, Wendy Williams.

The superstar DJ of New York radio station, WBLS 107.5 FM, is known as "The Shock Jock Diva", a "Radio Gossip Guru" and even the "Queen of Urban Radio," and a multitude of other monikers.

If you want to know what's going on in the world of Pop and Hip-Hop just tune in to Wendy Williams' daily show. Want the skinny on the latest balloons implanted in Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston? Check in with Wendy.

She first worked at WQHT-FM, New York, and then at WUSL-FM, in Philadelphia and in 2001 she returned to New York and hit it big with WBLS-FM.

Wendy Williams has also hosted interview specials on VH1 entitled, " Wendy Williams Is on Fire."

The quite normal in real life, Wendy Williams, is 38-years-old, married, and has a 4-year-old son. Her public life however deals with the eclectic world of celebrities and their various peccadilloes. One of her main claims to fame is the outing of gay celebrities.

She has a new book, "The Wendy Williams Experience," which is also the title of her afternoon commuting time radio talk show, is based on her true-life experiences interviewing and interacting with celebrities.

On Dec. 15, 2002, just weeks after Whitney Houston's television interview with Diane Sawyer, Williams engaged her in a radio chat:

"Wendy Williams: What would you say the biggest issue is in you all's marriage?

Whitney Houston: You people. You (expletive) people who like to run your (expletive) mouths. Unh-huh. Yeah!

Wendy Williams: If you could take back anything that you told Diane Sawyer, what would it be?

Whitney Houston: (Sucks her teeth.) If I could, if I could say something that I didn't say, OK, I want to tell anybody that got a problem with Whitney to kiss my (expletive)."

(Excerpt from the interview, which is repeated in it's entirety in the book.)

Wendy sees the work as a time capsule of Pop Culture, Hip-Hop, and the R&B scene as they exist today.

Last year, Williams released a no holds barred autobiography, "Wendy's Got The Heat," which revealed intimate details of her private life, including struggles with drugs, self image, relationships, infidelity and her triumphs in love, life and business.
