I don't suppose that many "tweeners," those between the age of 9 and 12, read the Celebrities Weblog, although I did get a blast email from a 13-year-old girl a few years ago after I posted something with which she took umbrage.
I'm sure that some of you have kids in that age group, however, so this may be of interest to you.
Unless your kids talk incessantly about their idols, or have papered the walls of their rooms with posters, I thought you might find it interesting to learn which celebrities they consider the "coolest."
Recent surveys show that Hillary Duff and Usher peg the needle of the "cool-o-meter" in the opinion of Tweeners.
Shaquille O'Neal and Johnny Depp, two of my favorites, now you know where I score on the mental age test, were next, and some past Tweener favorites, such as Tiger Woods, and Britney Spears lost ground.
