Strange things happen in the world of celebrity. Sometimes an event that most of us consider a bad thing turns out to be a good thing for the right celebrities.
Endorsing perfume, and cosmetics, has always been one of the classier gigs for women, such as Elizabeth Taylor, who was the first celebrity to have a perfume concocted for her endorsement.
Coty, a name long held high in the world of stylish smells, is trying to reestablish itself as the preeminent perfume producer, and has had great success with Jennifer Lopez.
Now, they are associating themselves with Kimora Lee Simmons, soon to be ex-wife of rap music mogul Russell Simmons.
When asked who would be their next big time endorser, Coty's top executive, Bernd Beetz, which sounds like an overcooked vegetable, stated that it might be Russell Simmons! "Divorce is good," he added!
