MOVIE MATTERS
by jim on July 6, 2006

These are pirates you'll welcome to your neighborhood.
The second installment of "Pirates Of The Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest," opens tomorrow, and if I stay out of trouble for 24 hours, my wife says she'll take me to see it.
I loved the first movie, and I have great hopes that this one will be even better.
Keith Richards, the medical miracle, shown here, was rumored to have been in the movie, but to my disappointment, he isn't.
Johnny Depp based the persona for his character, Jack Sparrow, on The Rolling Stones guitarist. Depp effectively emulated Richards, who possess uniquely affected gestures and speech patterns.
However, my wish will be coming true, in the third "Pirates" movie, in which Richard's is slated to play Jack Sparrow's father.
Meanwhile, Keira Knightly, who arrived at the movie's European premiere with co-star, Orlando Bloom, contends that she is not anorexic.
