Teri Hatcher, star of the hit show, "Desperate Housewives," has revealed that botox and collagen have played a role in maintaining her youthful looks.

Teri says that her Botox days are over and she just wants to age gracefully. That should work out OK for her.

Botox, eew! I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I definitely think that women are tougher than men.

I know that some men indulge in these treatments, but by and large, Botox is the province of women.

Needles alone are enough to make all 6 foot 2 inches of yours truly cringe, even though I've had hundreds of them for various medical conditions. Every one is still like the first, but I steel myself and get them without a fight when needed.

It's not that I'm a pansy. I grew up tough, engaged in plenty of fights, played football and other sports, worked at rough jobs, lived in dangerous places, and spent months in hospitals near death, due to stomach disorders, but needles, eew.

And, the thought of a needle full of Botox, which is made from botulinum, a deadly toxin, injected around the eyes, oh, double eew.

Last night my wife and I watched, "Lost," during which there was a repeating scene of a woman getting a foot-long needle in the stomach, oh God!

I jumped around each time, while she remained calm, and just shushed me. It didn't faze her in the least.

Women are definitely tougher than men.
