I tell you, there are more lunatics out in the streets than in the asylums, and why is it that they always seem to have lots of money.

Sandra Bullock and her husband Jesse James were granted a restraining order against 45-year-old, Mercedes Benz driving Marcia Valentine.

Among other things Valentine has stalked either Bullock, or the couple, and littered their property with various types of debris.

The worst of it though is that she attempted to run down Jesse James with her aforementioned Mercedes.

What a bunch of crap, a restraining order is. All a restraining order does is order someone not to bother someone else.

So its effectiveness depends on the cooperation of a lunatic.

Maybe I tend to oversimplify things but I don't understand why, when someone engages in activity that is clearly hostile and dangerous, the cops can't just pick up the offender and slap him or her in jail.
