ROD STEWART SHOULD HAVE LEFT IT IN LAS VEGAS

"What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas," are the words from the ad campaign designed to let people know that Las Vegas is a town for adults who want to have fun, and keep what they do to themselves.
Singer Rod Stewart, seen here after having his hair and make up done by Barry Manilow, apparently has his own interpretation of that phrase.
Stewart was under contract to perform at The Rio Hotel and Casino in 2000 but cancelled because of recent throat surgery.
OK, fair enough, except that he failed to return the 2 million dollar advance.
I guess old Roddy figured that the money paid to him for what didn't happen in Vegas, didn't have to stay in Vegas.
That didn't go over too well, and now, six years later, he's been ordered by a Federal Judge to repay the advance, plus more than a million bucks in interest, expenses, attorney's fees and sanctions.
Of course he plans to appeal the verdict. After all, no one is ever guilty of anything these days, no matter how obvious the offense.
Lucky thing for Stewart the mob is no longer in control of my fair city. If he had pulled this stunt when guys named Vito, and Bruno ran the place, not only would the money have been coughed up immediately, but he would have had to change his first name to Rhonda and start singing soprano.
Now for the latest Vegas news on Elvis, who despite rumors to the contrary, lives on in Vegas:
Elvis hotel and casino a probability.
Local Elvis impersonators could become an endangered species.
