Perpetual perp and sometimes singer Bobby Brown rapped his wife, the former Diva and now punching bag, Whitney Houston once too often it seems.

This latest round of family fisticuffs, which occurred early last December, has earned Brown a day in court and possible jail time despite protests by Whitney, who smiled vacuously at her attacker as the judge ordered Brown to appear for fingerprinting in July. Rumor has it Brown has given more fingerprints than autographs.

Brown faces up to a year in the slammer but will probably get counseling instead. He has already done time twice this year, in Georgia for probation violations, where he was released to attend jail in Massachusetts for failure to pay child support for two of his progeny.

These days Brown's court and jail appearances outstrip his stage appearances. Whitey, not to be outdone, spent some time in rehab taking a refresher course for one thing or another. Days of Wine and Roses redeux?

However, all is not lost. Despite the batterings it doesn't appear that Whitney is looking for a new sparring partner and apparently, the couple, and their dog, "Doggy," are being filmed a la the Osbournes for a reality show.
