It's not just Jennifer Garner, seen here rushing to catch the neighborhood ice cream truck, who's big on pregnancy; it's now all the rage because rich celebrities have made it seem glamorous.

What with at home ultra sound machines, silent birthing, haute couture maternity fashions, oodles of attention, and what not, the idea of giving birth has become the thing to do.

What a contrast from the 60's, when birth control, and the avoidance of pregnancy, was the way to go. Back then it was hip to be free, and have fun, and not feel bogged down by parenthood until a couple was really certain that their relationship was bound to last.

Of course the divorce rate skyrocketed beginning with that generation, and since it continues to increase apparently the presence or absence of kids makes no difference in a relationship.

Anyway, rich celebrities, who, due to their great wealth, do not have to be concerned with the practical side of life, as do everyday moms and dads, appear to be in the mood to procreate, and parade around with big bellies.
