STARS N JAIL
by jim on September 23, 2004
Former children's movie and TV star, and adult film fan, Pee-Wee Herman, AKA Paul Reubens, previously Paul Reubenfeld, is back in the movie house, on screen, not in the audience.
In a movie released earlier this year Ruebens lent his voice to a character in the Disney movie "Teacher's Pet," and on October 19, "Pee-Wee's Playhouse Christmas Special," will be released on DVD.
This is actually a re-release of the TV special which has a wildly diverse cast including Charo, Magic Johnson, K.D. Laing, Lawrence Fishburne and many others.
The disc features enhancements such as 2 commentary tracks, which can be switched off, and Dolby 2.0 Digital Stereo.
Here's a link to a recent interview of Reubens by Stone Phillips of "NBC' s Dateline."
If Pee-Wee should reclaim any of his previous popularity we'll see how well he handles himself this time around. Oops, sorry, no pun intended.
