paris hilton, seen here decked out in Madame Tussauds' interpretation of prison garb, is in prison and this bit of news is generating interest all over the world.
It's all a bit silly but, hey, whatever she is, or isn't, she's famous and popular so anything involving her will be keenly observed.
The night before her incarceration Paris was a hit at the "MTV Movie Awards", as reported here.
The folks at "TMZ" have a started a Paris Hilton prison daily update blog. So you diehard Paris fans can check in with that every day.

I didn't know there was such easy access to these things. Don't bother looking for mine online, all my offenses were committed when I was very young, before records were kept.
