This case involving Paris Hilton's repeated driving infractions is no laughing matter for the party girl.

A Los Angeles judge has sentenced Hilton to 45 days of jail time for her string of DUI related traffic infractions.

Prosecutors had pushed for the imposition of other punitive measures on the heiress such as fines, an extension of her driver's license suspension, probation, no booze for 90 days, and the use of a personal locater to keep tabs on her whereabouts.

Here's the verdict.

I understand that there's already a bidding war among the world's top designers to see who will get the contract to make up a custom orange jail jumpsuit for her.

Ah, what the hell, Hilton will survive this, and probably get another reality TV show out of it.

How about, "Paris in Prison"?
