PAPARAZZI ATTACKED

Celebrities love publicity, but on their own terms. New stars crave attention and generally act favorably towards stalking freelance photographers but as soon as they achieve a modicum of fame their attitude changes to one of hostility.

This does not deter the determined, camera-laden paparazzi; in fact, it often encourages them to be even more aggressive in their quest to capture the more elusive stars.

Paparazzi have been accused of stalking their quarry and taken to court, and the paparazzi have countersued.

Still they persist, the lure of big money from tabloids such as "The National Enquirer" being a great motivator.

Even the highly respected "BBC" issues celebrity snooping reports.

On September 3rd Hollywood strikes back, sort of, when the Mel Gibson produced movie "Paparazzi" is released.

The movie centers on an incident caused by 4 paparazzi and the revenge taken against them. Cole Hauser, Robin Tunney, Dennis Farina, "Tom Sizemore" and, Larry cedar.
