Not all that long ago when someone reached the age of 40, they were considered over the hill. However, despite today's youth oriented society, this is no longer the case.

In a recent poll of celebrity popularity quite a few "old-timers" placed high in the rankings.

Ever popular Courtney Cox-Arquette, pictured above, was in the top 5 women favorites, along with Andie McDowell, still looking great as you can see.


And how about 46-year-old Sharon Stone, shown here in a very recent paparazzi catch!


Sandra Bullock, 40, led the pack, which also included 40-year-old Teri Hatcher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sheryl Crow, who is 42, Heather Locklear, 43, Geena Davis, 49, and 44-year-old Darryl Hannah.

As for the men, who usually get a break in the age department, the always popular 41-year-old Brad Pitt came in second, followed by Johnny Depp, at age 41, 49-year-old Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, at 42, Clive Owen, who is 40, and Nicolas Cage, 41.

43-year-old George Clooney garnered the number one spot.


His sense of humor, along with his looks, scores heavily with the ladies.
