World-class loser, Osama Bin Laden, is losing the battle to push the world back into the dark ages, and it's happening within his own family.
His niece, the pop artist formerly known as, Wafah Bin Ladin, changed her name to, Wafah DuFour, to avoid association with Bin Laden, and his barbaric beliefs.
Note too, that her family had already changed the spelling of their last name, from Laden, to Ladin, to distinguish themselves from their infamous relative.
Wafah, is a pop singer who recently moved from New York to London to be closer to the studio where she is recording an album. She speaks English and French, but not any Arabic language. She has not been back to her native Saudi Arabia since she was 10, and does not have contact with her father or most of her family.
She says she loves Americans because they are fair-minded, and drinks, smokes, plays the guitar, and wears revealing clothing, unlike the women in her uncle Bin Laden's repressive world.
DuFour recently did a spread for, "Gentlemen's Quarterly," but I doubt that her pictures are hanging in any Arab tents, or pasted to the sides of their camels.
Because of her last name Wafah says she had problems with acceptance in the Western world, and because of her practice of an American way of life she is considered an Infidel in the Arabic world.
While working on her singing career Wafah supports herself as a paralegal, and French teacher.
Her mother, Carmen, is half Swiss, and wrote a best-selling book, "Inside the Kingdom: My Life in Saudi Arabia," which is scheduled to made into a movie.
