You wouldn't think that with a Body like that, Nicole Kidman would need a body double, but she does.
The usual reason for a body double is to try to make it appear that someone like Tyne Daly really looks like say, Kari Wuhrer, when naked.
In Nicole's case however, she injured her knee during the filming of "Moulin Rouge," and recently, while engaged in the making of "Cold Mountain", she had to wear a support bandage.
So, in order for her to avoid injury, another actress has been hired to stand in for any scenes requiring excessive activity, particularly bending.
