With all the celebrity and gossip news that comes out of Hollywood it's easy to forget that new york city is also a major player in the entertainment world.

The hot news right now is the "Tribeca Film Festival" which was started by Robert DeNero and Jane Rosenthal.

This year's festival will host a broad variety of film genres and you can read about it here.

The festival starts today and runs through May 6th so there's plenty of time to get tickets.
