There are all kinds of "most popular" type lists but this one is quite different and more relevant to web surfers.

Most of these lists are compiled by utilizing a poll and are useful for only a short period of time because people' s tastes change rapidly.

This list, however, is more like a college football ranking system because it changes according to a star's most recent performance, or at least the public' s perception of it.

"Celebopedia" ranks celebrities based on the number of times an individual is searched for on the web.
