Madonna continues to go against the grain and do her thing.
I'm not the world's most ardent Madonna fan, but I do admire the fact that she doesn't take crap from anyone, especially the establishment.
Madonna played Moscow, and it's no surprise that the Russian Orthodox Church Russian Orthodox Church was unhappy about the mock crucifixion that is part of her show.
I have to confess, in a manner of speaking, that I really don't know what the significance of the crucifixion scene is all about, just as I still don't understand the 2 foot long pointy bra she wore years ago. I just chalk it all up to shock show biz, and consider it attention getting and humorous.
If there's a deeper meaning to her antics, and some are offended by her actions, then so be it; we're all offended by one thing or another.
The usually liberal Dutch have their loonies too, including a priest, who called in a fake bomb threat in an attempt to halt Madonna's show in Amsterdam.
Madonna is a little too tough to let a mere terrorist threat upset her plans.
The show must go on.
Here's the link to my previous posting about Madonna's "Confessions" tour.
