The celebrity drunk driving list keeps on growing with Vivica Fox and Tony La Russa being the latest members.
Rumor has it that Vivica Fox was distraught over being eliminated from "Dancing With the Stars".
Tony LaRussa, manager of the Saint Louis Cardinals, is a guy I never liked, and now I dislike him even more.
LaRussa was found slumped over the wheel of his vehicle and determined to be drunk.
You have to check out the reader comments under the LaRussa story for a good dose of drunks protecting drunks.
There is every imaginable excuse for this guy such as, "he was only ΒΌ of a beer over the limit."
Hey, over the limit is over the limit and drunk is drunk.
And, "It's not like he hit someone or something."
Listen Einstein, you don't give someone a pass because the rest of us were lucky that he or she didn't do any harm. The idea is to not allow oneself to get to the point where they may do someone else harm.
I don't care how star struck someone is, from the drunken yo-yo at the sports bar who idolizes athletes, to someone like me who can't help but notice hot chicks, like Fox.
No one gets a pass on drunk driving.
I'm an easy going guy, and I don't care what anyone does, as long as it does not have ill effects on other people. If someone wants to get wasted every day, kill their brain, their liver, whatever, that's Jake with me. As far as I'm concerned it's their life and body and they're free to do with it as they please.
But I get pissed when drunks harm others, especially drunk drivers.
If you want to get wasted don't drive. If you're walking and fall and crack your skull, it's your skull, but when you're driving drunk and lose control it's usually someone else's skull you're cracking.

These celebrities are so diappointing sometimes. If they could just get treatment or at least be aware that they are role models, then that might affect their behavior. This is a good post, but also disheartening. Let's hope that those who need help will actually take the steps to get it.
