Kiefer Sutherland, star of the hit TV series, "24," seen here selling off some of his former girlfriend' s lingerie for pocket money, was involved in a drunken donnybrook during the holidays.

He is reportedly being sued by a 12-foot Christmas tree, which alleges being tackled and having its balls kicked by Sutherland.

The incident started at London' s posh "Borderline" club where Kiefer and pals engaged in a marathon drinking session that was ended by the bar staff at 2am.

Undaunted, and apparently feeling more like Jack Bauer, than a mere mortal, Sutherland, along with his entourage, managed to make his way to the Strand Hotel where he persuaded the room service staff to serve up some drinks and the party resumed.

For reasons unknown, Kiefer took a dislike to the hotel lobby Christmas tree, and after advising the staff of his intentions, and promising to pay for it, he went on a rampage and attacked said tree.

Who actually won the fight is still in dispute, but Kiefer was later found, somewhat disabled and prostrate, on the floor, as this photo attests.

Anyway season 5 of "24" starts on Sunday, January 15th, on Fox, and I will certainly be tuned in.
