I don't want to be harsh, but is this the best they could do?

Does the competition have anything to do with the actual occupation of motherhood, or is this just another popularity contest?

Rod Stewart's squeeze, Penny Lancaster, is also a contender. She gave birth, for the first time, about three months ago. She must change a hell of a diaper to have qualified with such limited experience.

Posh Spice, mother of three trouble-free kids, and successful businesswoman, didn't make the cut, but Sharon Osbourne did. Yeah, two of her offspring are certainly well adjusted, if being dysfunctional, and totally without purpose, aren't factored in.

Another nominee is the world-famous, Camilla, wife, and I guess, mother now, to Prince Charles, The Royal Twit.

This woman, shown here trying to start a fashion trend by wearing a seat cushion as a hat, has more titles than there are in professional boxing.

She's an Honorary Royal Colonel, 4th battalion, The Rifles, and is the Princess of Wales, because she is Consort, to The Prince.

However, she has chosen to be called, The Dutchess of Corwall, so as not to be confused with the beloved, late Diana, who was The Princess Of Wales.

In Scotland, Camilla is referred to as, The Duchess of Rothesay. Don't ask.

If Charlie should ever make King, she will then be known as, The Princess Consort. Somehow, she just doesn't fit the image of a Princess, in my mind.

Anyway, she's in the running for Celebrity Mum Of The Year, and for the life of me, I can't see why. Her own kids are like 32 and 28 years old. Hopefully they don't still require mothering.

And Diana's sons, does she mother them?

Yeah, and I'm going to invent a better computer, after I finish this posting, but before tonight's episode of, "The Sopranos," airs.

I guess she got the nod for continuing Charlie's rearing.
