POLITCAL PARTYING

Watching and listening to politicians is not exactly most people's idea of fun but under the right circumstances they can be quite entertaining.
In order to be entertained and not sickened by politicians you have to first cleanse your mind of the notion that there is going to spout forth any hint of truth or meaningful information.
I long ago gave up on the American political system since our politicians are bought and sold by powerful corporate interests so why not have some fun with them?
Jon Stewart, host of Comedy Central's, The Daily Show, will soon have the major presidential candidates as guests on his show.
Stewart, the master of quick witted political barbs, who has a knack for presenting the obvious in ways that make it seem mysterious and the mysterious appear to be obvious, should be in top form for these wannabee presidents.
So how will this amuse you and be worthy of your time?
First off, realize that no matter what these candidates say, it will be B.S., so don't take it seriously, no matter how serious the topic is.
Then, if you can do it without getting frustrated the thing to listen for is how politicians "don't" answer questions.
You'll hear things such as:
"If you're elected what will you do to improve education in the country?"
"I'm glad you asked that question, Jon; because education is important. If I'm elected, education will be among the top items on my agenda."
"What do you think is the foremost problem facing America?"
"I'm glad you asked that question, Jon, because America has a big problem with problems, and if I'm elected President I'll see to it that we do something about them."
Here's more about the show and Jon Stewart.
