I have to admit that I really don't follow the rap/hip-hop scene as closely as I would if I were a third my age, but these guys are way popular, and as such they make some major bucks.

These days the top earning rapper is Jay-Z, so I guess, if my understanding of pop culture nomenclature is at all correct, that makes him the Def Rapper.

Jay pocketed a cool $34 million last year, but even more impressive to me is that Beyonce is his lady.
