Whether or not Michael Jackson will be a Las Vegas headliner is not much of a question here in Vegas. I haven't heard or read any buzz about it.

In many ways I can see Jackson as a draw here, perhaps as more of a curiosity at this point, since he doesn't have any current opus.

If his most recent Las Vegas appearance, and this was years ago, "The Annual Jackson Family Honors", is any indication of his acceptance here, he's in for a rough time.

That silliness, which was supposed to be a yearly event, was a bust, and never spoken of, except with disdain, probably because well, it was an ill contrived and silly effort.

The King of Pop has returned to the US after hanging out in Bahrain and Ireland, for reasons of anonymity. Right, that's a pair of places where he wouldn't stand out.

Jackson has taken up residence here, but not permanently it's said, and rumors that he's shopping for a gig have been denied, but his people say he's reviewing numerous offers. Go figure.

Knowing Vegas as I do I sincerely doubt he's had "numerous" offers, but I'm certain he's had some tickles of interest.

Jackson has always been vocal about his affinity for Las Vegas, and he's taken refuge here many times in the past, so maybe he wants to get a job and get on the property tax rolls.

Usually there's a place in Vegas for everyone and anyone, hey, what the hell, they let me in.
