Speculation about celebrities' sexual preferences has always been an item of interest and more than one career has been ruined by either revelation or rumor.
These days however, a celebrity's "coming out" can actually result in increased popularity as in the case of Ellen DeGeneres. Of course being tremendously talented hasn' t hurt Ellen, shown above with previous lover, anne Heche, who these days is more intrigued with male plumbing.
In fact, Ellen is being promoted to God-like status, at least in Hollywood. She's signed up to play God in the remake of "Oh God."
Earlier this year, in San Francisco, Rosie O'Donnell married her long-time companion, Kelli Carpenter, with whom she has been raising 4 kids.
This union was the highest profile wedding of all the same-sex marriages performed in that city, while it was legal. Politicians and moralists are still rabidly campaigning to have these marriages deemed illegal.
In fact, the issue is a hot item for the Presidential candidates, ranking right up there with the war in Iraq. That's some serious bedroom snooping!
