That's a yes and no answer, mostly no, but yes, in a sense.
Despite 8 years of glitzy hype and cries to the contrary, Trump's Atlantic City casino enterprise has pretty much been a belly up business from day 1.
Now there can be no more denials, the joint is bankrupt, and Trump' s share of the gamble has been reduced from 56% to 25%.
Quite a hit! Still, he takes it with typical Trump aplomb and brushes the bankruptcy off as, "part of business."
Is it time for The Donald to say: "I'M FIRED?"
Here's a detailed report on "Netscape Celebrity."
Celebrity bailouts from debt are nothing new of course, as this list of British and American bankrupts reveals.
I was surprised to see Bill Roache, charter cast member of " Coronation Street," listed as a 1999 bankrupt. I was a huge fan of that show when I had satellite access to it compliments of CBC Canada.
He never stuck me as exciting enough to do anything that would result in bankruptcy, including overindulging in antiques
purchases at out of the way country auctions.Back to Trump.
Hot on the heels of season 1 of "The Apprentice," " Season 2" is set to debut on September 9 so obviously Trump is still liquid.
This time the format is a bit different and there are 18 wannabees competing for the brown nose award. Is there another Omorosa, or another off the wall Sam type character in the bunch?
Find out for yourself by checking out this link to loads of info on the Season 2 combatants, and additional links with news of what Season 1's losers are currently up to.
To me this crop of egomaniacs seems to be even snootier than the first "Apprentice" crowd, so it should be fun watching them self-destruct.
By the way, whatever became of "Trump Ice," his signature brand of tap water launched during Season 1?
