Hollywood's love affair with the Chihuahua is over.

It seems that all the copycats who latched onto the pocket-sized dogs popularized by Paris Hilton's Tinkerbell, are ditching them, in favor of Pugs.

I guess like forsaken lovers, the Chihuahuas, are being better dealed, as it were, and are finding their way into pawnshops and used pet stores the world over.

No more filet mignon for these guys, they'll have to start over in more humble surroundings, and try to maintain their figures on garden-variety supermarket canned dog food.

Currently, my favorite Hollywood dog is Triumph, The Insult Comic Dog, shown above, who isn't owned by a celebrity, but is himself, a celebrity.

I've always been an animal lover. I like both kinds of animals, the ones you eat, and the ones you keep as pets.
