gwyneth paltrow says she prefers living in Great Britain rather than America because there's more civility and the people are more intelligent.

OK, we'll have to see how this revelation sets with her American fan base.

It's sometimes hard to tell if a comment is taken out of context, or has been embellished along the way, but apparently Gwyneth was quite succinct in her criticism of the American way of life.

Here's the story.

This is not the first time Paltrow has made her ant-American society feelings known, as is pointed out in this article.

I've never been to England, but I do watch a lot of British TV programming, and for what it's worth I see things about Britain that I like better, and vice-versa.

Most of my complaints about America however, center on politics, and the lack of our government's concern with generalized social issues, such as health care.

As for people's behavior, I don't see much difference in any of the Western world's population. There are good people and bad people, there are smart people, and people of lesser intelligence.

We'll have to see how Paltrow's revelation sets with her American fan base and if it matters to her.
