"As GM goes, so goes the nation."
I don't know how many of you remember that old expression which was coined when General Motors was the undisputed king of the automotive world.
Well, considering the sorry state of affairs in many quarters of this country, and the fact that GM has been headed steadily downward for years, it seems that the old saying was prophetic.
In what seems like a desperate attempt to attract attention to its latest offerings General Motors has turned to the world of celebrity for help.
Christian Slater will host the event in which 17 new GM models will be unveiled as reported here.
My prediction is that it won't make a bit of a difference because the cars are what counts and not who points to them and GM, with rare exception, has been producing overpriced crap for more than 30 years.
Above you see yours truly, just a few years ago, when I was employed as a used car salesman.
