Suddenly it's in to be a "Geek".
America Ferrara, the star of "Ugly Betty", who won an Emmy, a Golden Globe award, and a Screen Actors Guild award, has now been honored by being named "Hispanic Woman of the Year", by a pair of magazines, and she's considered to be a Geek

Here is the definition of a Geek, more or less.
As you can see the meaning of the word Geek has changed, and can be used to describe any number of types of individuals, from the most freakish, to those whom we admire for their intelligence and ability.
