This is one of the worst weekends of the year for us TV freaks.

Everyone knows there's never much good TV to watch on holiday weekends, but the Labor Day weekend has to be the worst.

OK, there's the start of the college football season for me, but that's only a measly 2 or 3 games on Saturday. OK, the NFL starts later in the week, but the extreme amount of commercials one has to endure has pretty much turned me off to those games.

As I write this, my wife is zipping through her DVD collection of classic old movies, but soon, the wait for fresh shows will be over.

The NBC show,"Heroes" premiere's on September 25th. I'll check this one out only to see if Ali Larter, shown here, looks any better on HD TV.
