There are conflicting rumors floating around about the status of the Ellen Degeneres - Portia deRossi relationship.
The recent controversy over "Iggy", the dog, has thrust Ellen into the limelight, over and above the publicity she normally gets on her TV show.
Ellen's public breakdown has led to speculation that the true cause of her anguish was due to discord between her and her partner, Portia.
Here's the first report about the rumored troubles between Ellen Degeneres and Portia deRossi.
However, the most recent report state that everything is OK between Ellen and Portia, so we'll wait a while and see what happens, if anything.
I don't think they'll be adopting anything any time soon though, especially pets.
