ELECTION ENTERTAINMENT

In case you haven't noticed, today is Election Day.
Today brings to a close another "Political Season," as the politicos, and news people prefer to call it. It's certainly not as scintillating as a sports season, but it does manage to provide some entertainment by bringing out the worst in our country's, "leaders," and I use the term loosely.
Although there have been some humorous moments during the campaigns I personally find the current state of political affairs appalling, in that the best one can do is vote for the lesser of two evils in most cases. Not a very positive outlook, I know, but it is realistic.
Unless you're a political fanatic Election night doesn't hold much in the way of fresh TV fare.
But I'm here to rescue you from the doldrums, at least for an hour.
This is what is called a Mid Term election, because it falls in between the Presidential elections, and Comedy Central is presenting a special, live show to poke fun at the elections.
Steve Colbert, seen here being arrested on the grounds that he's a Left-Wing smartass, will co-host this show with the equally entertaining Jon Stewart.
I hope "The Midterm Midtacular" is as good as I expect. It airs at 8pm E/11pm P/10pm C, but please check your local listings to be sure.
