The news that The dixie chicks won 5 Grammys made my day.
In the USA our politicians blab day and night about our precious freedoms, including the right to free speech. So, The Dixie Chicks publicly criticize Bush's war, something that 70% of the populace now does, and they are ostracized for it.
In the end though, talent wins out. After people came to their senses and realized that The Chicks were only concerned about the welfare of our troops, the prejudice against them was dropped, and their talent became the important factor in judging their worth.
