Beckham has come to the USA to play soccer and perhaps become a Scientologist.

David has become fast friends with Scientologist extraordinaire, Tom Cruise, and you know how some people are about their religion, they just have to try to convert everyone.

What I find interesting about this whole Scientology thing is that it seems to be the current religion of the rich. I guess they take regular folk but the only ones you hear about are very well off.

There's also something mystical and seemingly ultra intelligent about having a title that ends in "ist," such as paleontologist, or agronomist, or ichthyologist, and even plain old scientist.

Maybe if I stop calling myself a writer and refer to myself as a "scribbilist" I'll get a raise.
