It comes as no surprise that Larry Birkhead is indeed the father of Dannielynn, Anna-Nicole Smith's infant daughter.
Birkhead is certainly the crowd's odd-on favorite personality in this somewhat sordid, if not tasteless affair.
Howard Stern, who appeared genuinely disappointed at the news, has stated that he would not impede Larry's attempt to secure sole custody.
Anna's mother, Virgie Smith, made a pair of somewhat conflicting statements regarding her role in Dannielynn's future. First she stated that she felt that dual custody was appropriate and then she said she just wanted to be Dannielynn's grandma.
Make no mistake about it, there's about a half billion bucks potentially at stake here too. Should the courts decide that Anna's late husband's fortune should go to Dannielynn, either directly, or through right of ascension via Anna, the fur will really fly.
