CELEBRITIES & GOSSIP
by jim on February 7, 2007

Celebrities tend to be on the cutting edge of everything, whether it's technology, fashion, travel, entertainment, and
It makes sense because they have the financial means and a huge world wide network of friends and acquaintances from which they can learn about the latest trends.
But it's not just about finding the hottest Sushi bar or the current, "in," shoe designer, or driving the latest cult type vehicle, it's also about pain.
That's right, celebrities have medical problems too, but unlike most of us who are tied to an HMO, if indeed you're lucky enough to even have health insurance, celebrities seek out the more offbeat medical cures.
For example, Prince Charles is rumored to be a fan of coffee enemas to ward off cancer.
If that catches on I'll bet "Starbutts" franchises will pop up all over the globe.
I suppose that among the past, and probably present quack medical devices and other forms of alternative healing there are some things that do work at least for some people.
Personally I'm a believer in vitamins and supplements and I like green tea, but I don't think I'll be ordering the late Dr. Fred Gersky's, "Color-Therm" machine, shown above, to balance my "color cycle."
Here's the link to a slideshow of celebrities and revelations about their personal alternative medical treatments.
