Sisters, brothers, and brothers and sisters, are nothing new in show business.

In the past we had The Marx Brothers, The Lennon Sisters, Donnie and Marie Osmond, and plenty of other show biz families you're probably too young to remember.

But these days, it seems that everyone has a relative in the business, and they're getting younger and younger.

Did you know that Lindsay Lohan has a kid sister? Well, obviously that's her, even though she looks like Winona Ryder.

Do you believe she's only 12? Looks way older than that to me, at least 14. That should make her happy.

As far as I know she hasn't yet done a thing but she's already signed with Disney to host a show, and will be recording some songs as well. I suppose by year's end she'll have a 700-page autobiography out, chronicling her young years only, with volume 2 due out next year.

Wasn't that like cool? I especially liked the part where she said her favorite thing is to like listen to gossip about her friends, and that her sister's best advice to her was to, like, not talk about other people. Makes sense to her.

OK, she's 12, I'll get off the kid's case. Someday after she grows up she'll be as articulate as Lindsay, and like, tell me off.

Of course there are the Simpson sisters. Here's a real anomaly. The lesser talented Ashlee actually has more record sales than her better-looking sister Jessica.

You must see this photo of Ashlee which was taken last week. It seems she is determined to mimic her sister's looks no matter how many times I tell her she's hotter as a brunette. Nobody listens!

Anyway, you decide if this look is righteous or not. To me she looks like crack whore.

We can't leave the Hilton sisters out of this discourse, of course. After all, more has been written about them than all the U.S. Presidents combined, but then they're eminently more interesting, if not entertaining.

Well, on June 1st, mark your calendars, they and a whole lot of other celebrity siblings will go head to head on VH1 showdown.

Now here's a kid I really like, Dakota Fanning, who has legitimate talent, and she too has a sister.
