CELEBRITY KERRYS

Anyone who runs for President of The United States has to be considered a celebrity. I mean, it's all about popularity, right?
If a candidate says the things one wants to hear, he or she gets his or her vote.
All political candidates seek out the support of well-heeled, celebrity type, high profile persons to promote their cause and influence others.
President Bush has celebrity friends who support him in various ways, but for the most part, invisibly. I mean, who really cares about celebrities in non-entertainment fields, such as the oil industry big shots?
The same can be said for VP Dick Cheney. Does anyone outside of an oversight committee member care about what a star Halliburton accountant does or says?
Bor-ing!
Some candidates however have more in common with non-politician-business celebrities and John Kerry is one of them.
Tonight, in Los Angeles, a who's who list of Conservative hatees, led by the likes of Barbra Streisand, Robert De Niro, Neil Diamond, Billy Crystal, Willie Nelson, Ben Affleck, and Leonardo DiCaprio will appear in support of the Democratic candidate.
There will be singing, joke telling, and speeches.
On July 8th in New York City, a bash featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Jon Bon Jovi, the Dave Matthews Band and Mary J. Blige are scheduled, and others, yet unannounced, will also perform.
Ticket prices (pre-scalper rates) range from $250 to $25,000 a seat, and you can order yours "right here."
Better hurry, they're moving fast and the $25K seats are limited to just 8 per customer.
Even his daughter, alexandra
, that's the girl pictured above, uses her celebrity status, and other assets, to attract attention to Dad's cause. In case you didn't know, she's an actress, and you can learn more about her "here."
