CELEBRITIES & GOSSIP
by jim on September 13, 2004
It's always been a dog's life for dogs, and for many people, but that may no be all that bad if you' re a celebrity dog.
Actually what I' m referring to are dogs owned by celebrities, not celebrity dogs such as Lassie. Hell, even celebrity dogs Lassie and Rin Tin Tin had to work for their bones.
Not so for the likes of Paris Hilton' s dog, Tinkerbell, or Kristi Yamaguchi's Toy Fox Terrier, Piston, or Britney Spears Maltese, Lucy.
Check out this article in "The Arizona Republic" for more insight into which breeds various celebrities are in to and the expenses and issues tied to ownership of these miniature mutts.
Toy dogs are once again all the rage among celebrities and this time ownership is not limited to women. Justin Timberlake, pictured above, is a dog fancier.
The whole "dog in a purse" fad is attributed to Hollywood celebrity extraordinaire, Zsa Zsa Gabor, seen in this autographed photo.
There has always been interest in the pets kept by people in the public's eye as this list attests: "The Poop.Com."
I like animals and have had quite an assortment of dogs and cats over the years. However if I ever hit it big I want something truly different to take to the park for a walk and a dump.
I have nothing against smallish dogs, but I don' t really want a pet that can crap in my pocket or get squashed by a stray turkey.
Nope, I'm going to throw a leash around the neck of something out of the ordinary, something really different and noticeable, something exotic that will make a truly unforgettable impression on my public.
Currently I'm thinking hippo or giraffe.
