CELEBRITIES ON SATELLITE RADIO

Radio Shock Jock, Howard Stern, is off the air for the first time in 25 years.
He will return to broadcasting, totally uncensored, on January 9th via satellite radio.
Howard made the early morning 13-mile commute from southern New Jersey to Philadelphia, where my wife and I worked, a bit more tolerable, especially on those days when the trip took over an hour.
Stern is the kind of guy who is capable of simultaneously offending, and entertaining virtually everyone. While much of what he has to say can be taken with a grain of salt, one has to admire him for his tenaciousness, and his refusal to cave in to the FCC and the far Right. Or, is that Wrong?
If you don't know about satellite radio you would do well to at least investigate what it has to offer. There are two systems available, "Sirius," which is the one Stern will be affiliated with, and "XM," which will soon have the inimitable Bob Dylan, hosting a radio music show.
These guys will be joining an existing slew of other music and sports celebrities on satellite radio.
Satellite radios are available for car, home and portable use, and offer upwards of 120 channels of commercial-free, digital, high fidelity music, sports, and talk radio.
The radios are reasonably priced and a programming subscription is about $12.95 per month.
OK, so who's the girl in the top photo?
She's Beth Ostrosky, Howard Stern' s girlfriend, and here's a link to another interview.
