CELEBRITIES AS GROUPIES

Celebrities are used to having a groupie following, but can celebrities be groupies?
Sure, everyone has heroes. Celebrities may have huge followings, and can influence people, but, even though they command attention, they have no real power over the people.
Unfortunately, that power rests with politicians, who these days tend to be guided more by corporate entities, than the Vox Populi, or "voice of the people," if my high school Latin is still somewhat accurate.
Hillary Clinton, seen here about to engage in suck-face with one of her groupies, Elton John, has attracted the support of many high profile celebrities, as reported in this article.
Here's an older (2003), but still valid article about this issue, with evidence that groupies have existed since 1880.
