MOVIE MATTERS
by jim on May 18, 2004
It's happening now, the Cannes Film Festival that is, for those of you who care.
This annual extravaganza lasts through May 23rd and showcases the most diverse array of International, yes that includes America, films collected in any one place at any time.
Still in the running for best picture are American entries "Bad Santa," "Fahrenheit 9/11," "The Ladykillers," "The Assassination of Richard Nixon," and "Shrek 2."
With the Oscars tucked away for this year you may want to check in at Cannes for a look at some of the films that are certain to be in contention for next year's Academy Awards.
Here's the link to the official site , and for those of you who still don't speak French poke around and you'll find everything posted in English including movie clips and trailers and interesting interviews you won't find anywhere else.
And, as long as you're visiting France you may as well make a stop in Paris via these webcams.
