CELEBRITIES & GOSSIP

Britney Spears, seen here with her ex-best friend of 5 minutes, Paris Hilton, was voted "Most Foolish American", by a poll of 1000 people taken by Jeff Barge, a New York Publicist.
In similar polls conducted the past few years, by the same organization, the league leading Michael Jackson was usually in first place.
This year Jacko came in third behind Spears and Paris Hilton, which I'm certain, has raised concerns among his "people" regarding the possibility that his popularity may be fading.
You'll note that a number of politicians, most notably George Bush and Dick Cheney, made the list.
Ordinarily I would have been disappointed that these two weren't in first and second place, but then this is a list of fools, not dangerous persons.
Not everyone is bashing Britney though. Fellow celebrity Tori Amos, whose statement does make sense, has come to Britney's defense.
