Never doubt the power of celebrity.

On Tuesday night the TV networks were trying to outdo each other with their coverage of the election results.

People all over the country were watching with intensity as some of the most colossal, and significant upsets in the history of American elections were taking place, and then suddenly, the whole shebang went on hold.

The news that Britney Spears had dumped professional sperm donor Kevin Federline, for a few moments at least, displaced the entire electoral process of The United States.

Talk about star power.

OK, it's not as if all the reporters shifted gears, and started running Britney Spears videos. But it's significant to note that as this long awaited referendum on Bush's performance was taking place, a semi-retired pop queen can still make the country stand up and take notice.

Are you surprised that Britney shed K-Fed? I didn't think so.

So, the self-proclaimed, unaccomplished superstar, Kevin Federline, is in search of another wealthy female to impregnate, and now we'll see how much drawing power he has without an established sponsor.

I think he'd better dust off those dancing shoes and start doing stretching exercises.

Britney apparently informed K-Fed of the filing via text message, and then went ice skating.

Oh, that's cold!
