A lipsyncing Britney Spears got booed when the CD she was using started skipping.

Jeesh, you'd think with all her money she'd have a good, clean, tested copy of her own CD and a player that could track a disc properly.

Britney was supposed to be "live", and well, I guess legally she was live, but the music wasn't, as reported by "MTV".

I don't get it. After having been caught flat-footed she defends herself by saying that these were only "warm up" or practice concerts.

Excuse me, but when a musician rehearses, or an athlete gets ready for a game, don't they actually play their instruments, or toss the ball around? I mean these people don't just "make believe" they're practicing their skill.

So why should it be different for Britney Spears or any other singer.

There's too much of this make believe performing going on IMHO.

I suggest that until performers actually resume "performing" at all times anyone who is a fan simply buy a DVD of a past, truly "live" performance, and watch that instead of plunking down 5 to 10 times as much for a "concert" ticket.
