40-year-old Brad Pitt announced that he plans to end his film career in four years.
Brad Pitt told TV Movie in Germany, "I give myself four more years to make great films. Then a new generation will be coming up. That's the way things go. Of course I'll still get roles when I'm 50 but they'll be worse and farther apart."
He went on to say that he wants to take an interest in architecture in the future. architect Frank Gehry leads a group that plans to modernize Los Angeles and has invited Pitt to be part of the project.
"I will mostly just be learning, but I'll also have an influence on the future of the city," he said. "Los Angeles is a concrete desert without a soul and I'd like to make it live able. Maybe that'll be my new career."
The newly buffed up Pitt's current movie, the Greek epic, Troy, took top honors at the box office grossing $45.6 million so it doesn't look as if money will be a problem as the movie idol's career winds down.
